Mission Advice for Mom
Mom This one is for you!
So I've realized one of the hardest things of missions and life is the expectations. Not God's expectations, His are realistic. But the expectations we set for ourselves. We have no right to lower God's expectations. We also have no right to RAISE God's expectations. Always remember that your Heavenly Father has called you to be a missionary, not future you, YOU RIGHT NOW. I hear myself and others say so often, "I don't know if I can do this right now." What!! Are you kidding?! If you couldn't do it you wouldn't be there, YOU CAN DO IT. So always rememer that God called you. Not future you, or more talented you, or better teacher you, or more experienced you, or more outgoing you. He has called you as you are right now. YOU are exactly what He needs. Always remember Madre that your daughter and best friend for eternity loves you! I hope you always feel and know that. More importantly, your brother and best friend Jesus Christ loves you and completely understands you. When it gets hard direct your thoughts to Heavenly Father. Tell Him your stresses and then give them to Him. He doesn't want you to hold them. Then tell Him of your gratitude.
