Scouting

Image
This is my first experience having a scout, so don't laugh at me when I tell you this. I went and bought Jaden a new scout shirt and all the other scout "paraphernalia." I called my brother Daniel (the scout guru) and asked for a quick way to get all the patches on until I could sew them. He said to super glue them. Well, It was not going well, and so I called him back. "Oh" he said, I meant hot glue. Well, my fingers along with the shirt are now a super glued mess. Lesson learned...call mom first! My cub scout Grandpa Woodstock has been here the last few weeks getting their house ready for Grandma. She will be here next week, and we couldn't be more excited to have them here! Taylor was enjoying the popsicles also. Grace kept sneaking her tastes, and she couldn't get enough.

Prelude to Summer

Image
The weather has been so beautiful here, that I set up the kiddy pool for Grace on Saturday. Of course everyone wants to join in the fun. Jaden and Kody had contests to see who could keep their head under water the longest, Kimball brought out the i pod and danced across the lawn, and Grace threw everything she could find into the pool. Look Jaden and Kody finally got a pet fish! They named her Angel :) That's all she's allowed to kiss! Taylor even enjoyed watching form the bouncer. Only Two weeks left of school, and then our summer officially begins!

Mommy Photo Shoot

No, I do not have a really nice camera, but I was just having so much fun taking Taylor's pictures, that I thought I would share! She constantly has her tongue sticking out.

My Marathon Journey

I have to throw this post in because this has now become my journal and I realized I never recorded this event that I worked so hard for, and I never want to forget this accomplishment. Up to now it has only been on the side of the blog and never publishes in my records. So just Skip this post and let me reminisce. :) Exactly One year ago today I ran in and finished the Ogden marathon (26.2 miles)! I began running in May 2008 with my wonderful running partner SuLynn and it has become such a part of my life now that I thought it only appropriate that I should record my progress. -June 1st2008: I ran 2 miles and thought I was going to die! -July 15th 2008: I ran my first 5K (3.1 miles in 33 minutes) -July 24th 2008: I ran the Enterprise 10K (6.2 miles in 1 hour) -August: I ran 6 miles every Friday along with interval training -September: I started running 7-8 miles every Friday -October: I ran farther every Friday 9, 10 and then 11 miles! -November: my running partner got

4th Grade Recorder Concert

Image
I didn't know that playing the recorder was still a required part of Elementary School. Such good memories, I loved playing the recorder. Kimball on the other hand not so much. They made the concert into a tribute to mother's and the kids sang "Because You Loved Me" and gave their mom's a letter they had written along with refreshments. Very Creative!

A blind eye

Image
You know how as baby girls move their heads back and forth, their bows gets lower and lower? Well...this happens more often than it should to Taylor, but she is always so happy and never makes a peep that we don't even notice. Look at that cute smile even with a blind eye.

1st grade talent show

Image
Kody is the first of my children to participate in their first grade talent show. Kimball and Jaden were both too nervous. He did an awesome job singing with his class and then showing his origami skills :) Thanks for a wonderful year Mrs. McArthur!

Piano Recital

Image
Along with her original piano piece, Kimball performed her own arrangement with singing entitled "Eternity"at her recital this year. She is quite good at writing music for a ten year old. Who is that beautiful woman sitting there? She is growing up way too fast! Hey, aren't those my shoes!?!

Mother's Day

Image
That is the best you get with 5 children. Not everyone looking the same way, gum sticking out of mouths, and me laughing so hard that I can't take a good picture. Wouldn't have it any other way. I love being a mommy!

Taylor is three months old!

Image
Mommy loves the three month old mark because... 1. They are on a regular sleeping pattern 2. Look at all that chunk to squeeze 3. They can finally smile and giggle 4. They can hold their backs and heads up themselves 5. I can see their little personalities shining through

Look who got a hold of the scissors again!

This is Grace's second time cutting her own hair, this time is was bad enough that we had to cut it all off. Still Cute!
