Early Anniversary

Image
Jamen and Krista were visiting us for a few weeks and since our anniversaries are only a week apart we decided to celebrate together. Grandma Woodstock was kind enough to babysit. She was a trooper even after getting sick and throwing up the entire second day, while trying to watch 8 children. We didn't bring our phones on the hike so we took our time not knowing she was so sick. Thanks mom!  We went to dinner the first night and then went and saw the movie "Green Lantern" at the Imax.  The next morning we hiked the Narrows.  SOOO fun! If you have not done it, I would highly recommend it! The water was chest high in places.  Happy Anniversary sweetheart, I love you!

Kody turns 8

Kody had a week long celebration. His cousins were here staying with us which is a treat in itself. We went to  the splash pad, swimming, a movie, anti-gravity, and golden corral. Since this is a special birthday he also went with mommy to purchase a set of scriptures and a new suit for his baptism.  Look at the look on Jaden's face, he isn't a pyromaniac or anything!  He was spoiled as usual!  Anti-Gravity  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows part 2  Splash pad  I love this picture!  Happy Birthday Kody, we love you!

Young Women President

As most of you know I have been serving as first counselor in the Young Women's for a year now. Well with the mission call of our president to Romania (congrats Sis. Mc Fadden!) I am now the new president.  I am so relieved that I got to stay in Young Women's even if it has to be as president.  All of the Women that I work with are amazing and I could not love the girls any more.  I feel so blessed to be serving where I am. I feel like a part of my life is missing on this blog because all of our young women pictures are on our 4th ward YW blog (sorry it is private).  As the title of our blog say's I am "Going Fourth."

The Dentist

With summer vacation also comes a trip to the dentist. Kody and Grace were cavity free, but Kimball and Jaden had to go back to get some cavities filled.  This is Kimball Trying to smile with all her numbing.  Not so funny story... Jaden as always needed to have the most work done.  He suffered through it and was so relieved to finally be done. We finished and went up to pay and I noticed the staff whispering to each other.  They turned to me and said " I am so sorry but the dentist forgot to do one of his cavities. I looked at them and told them there was no way I was going to get him back in that chair.  They said it would be best to just do it right then, but gave me the option of having him come back in a few days. I left it up to Jaden who about flipped! He almost started crying and said he wasn't going to do it, and he would just brush really well. Thankfully the dentists wife was standing there and asked Jaden what his most favorite place to eat was.  He responded &quo

Baby Jonathan Kunoa

I was able to travel to California with my parents and Jamen, Katie and Daniel to attend the funeral of our cousin Noelani's baby. He died two weeks after birth from Strep B complications. I have never seen such strong parents. Noelani and her husband Sam were amazing. They both spoke at the funeral and she even sang. They were both completely composed and used it as a great missionary tool to teach their non member family and friends about the plan of salvation  It also became a family reunion. It was so fun to travel with my family and see relatives I have not seen in years.  Grandma Church and all her daughters.  Bottom Picture oldest to youngest. I still think my mom is the most beautiful of them all! The three Woodstock Girls (even though Katie and I now have new last names we will always be a Woodstock). My sweet sister!

Swimming Lessons

We spent two weeks at Dixie College again this year learning how to swim.  Taylor was actually better that I thought she would be having to stay strapped into her stroller. She watches her brothers and sisters and thinks she can just jump right in. All the kids did great, and passed their level.
