GOODBYE 2012

This was a very difficult year for me and my family.  Pregnancy sickness from January to March, losing Garrett's Grandpa Jenson in April, then my mom getting sick in May.  Watching both my mom and dad suffer as her illness increased through the summer. Having a baby in September. Losing mom to cancer in October. Nights without  sleep through November and December being up with a newborn and learning to cope without mom.  And then losing Grandma Church on Christmas Eve and preparing for another funeral.  I took down the tree the day after Christmas and cried as each ornament came down that reminded me of mom, but was ready to move on and am looking forward to a new year! BUT I DID IT ...through it all my faith has increased, I have seen the tender mercies of the Lord, have felt the love of others, and my family has prospered and is healthy and happy!   THANK YOU FATHER IN HEAVEN FOR YEARS LIKE THIS ONE THAT REMIND ME OF WHAT IS TRULY IMPORTANT AND THAT YOU ARE ALWAYS THERE!!

Until We Meet Again

Grandma Church passed away on Christmas Eve.  It was very shocking to me after just seeing her weeks before so spry and healthy.  She got sick and I think lacked the will to live since my mom's death.  I am so thankful for the time I took just a month before to visit with her and hug her and tell her what a special grandma she was and how much I loved her! This is the memory our family will be sharing at her funeral this weekend... (from my dad's perspective) Mom was there for the birth of every one of our babies.  Vickie cried when her mom left after having her first baby, she had been there helping her for at least 2 weeks. Mom always tried her hardest to be at the blessings, baptisms, weddings and graduations of her grandchildren. Mom and Vickie were always there for one another, and would organize, take trips to Mexico together, and plan family gatherings.  The kids have fond memories of trips to Laverkin and family reunions.  Mom would babysit our children so we coul

Hinckley Victoria is 3 months Old! Our little Hinckley turned 3 months old the day after Christmas.  We are loving this bundle of joy.  She is used to being held all the time with 7 other members of the family, and is beginning to giggle and get excited every time she see's her brothers and sisters walk by. She is now sleeping 5 hours at a time at night, is starting to sit up and can grab her toys all by herself.  We love you!!!

Christmas Morning

The kids woke up around 5:30 and were ready to go. I love watching them open their stockings, they are my favorite part! My favorite Christmas present was a keepsake ornament from my dad.  What a treasure it will be to hang it on the tree year after year and remember my amazing mother and the love she had for us and our dad.  Kody's Gift from Santa was a motor scooter  Jaden got an Ipod touch from Santa Kimball got a karaoke machine and an angel tree figurine from Santa. This one is entitled "Remember" for her to remember the year she lost her grandma Woodstock. They had a very special relationship. Grace and Taylor got a motorized car from Santa  We were all done with presents in about an hour and we left the family room looking like this and went over to grandma and grandpa Wastlund's house for breakfast and more Christmas.  Grandma and Grandpa Spoiled us as usual, and we were all having so much fun that I

Christmas Eve

The kids got new jammies from mom, and pillows with thier names on the cases from grandma and grandpa Wastlund to open on Christmas Eve.  Mommy got her Christmas present that night also...Santa spent too much money!  And then we watched as Santa filled all the stockings and put together that stinking car for an hour! Hinckley stayed awake with us until almost midnight in anticipation for her first Christmas! :) our Cute 3 month old Santa baby!  She loves it when daddy sings to her!

Sledding

It was no easy task getting 6 kids outfitted and out the door to go sledding this year! We traveled to Cedar City Christmas Eve day to go sledding with Krista and the boys.  Our last chance to see them before they left to go home to Washington.  We will really miss having them so close! Katie and Steve were nice enough to watch the 2 little girls so we could have more fun with the older kids. A very fun day!  Thank you Krista for the pictures and the cocoa!
