Rainy Days

Image
We have had a lot of rainy days lately, which is so refreshing after a hot St. George summer.  We thankfully live in an area where we have not been affected by flooding like so many of our neighbors.  We can relax and enjoy it from the front porch!

Wisdom Teeth!

Image
I got all four of my wisdom teeth removed on Friday.  It was miserable and I am swollen and sore.  I told Garrett I am thankful that he is not an abusive husband because I feel and look like I have been punched in the face a few times.  The Doctor was not very gentle! It only took him 20 minutes to get them out after I was put under, and my face can feel it!  On the up side, I have an amazing family!  Garrett, my dad and Breckan and Lesly sure took care of me, as well as wonderful friends who brought smoothies and were so supportive. I am very blessed!   3 weeks later...I am finally healing and able to eat normally again.  I still have not quite gotten rid of the bruises from the I.V.  OUCH! The Doctor did send me flowers though (although I am sure I paid for them).

Mother Daughter Excellence Night

Image
The Young Women invited the Relief Society to their excellence night.  All the sisters in the ward lent their dresses from from the 20's on up for a fashion show, and the girl's modeled them. It was fun to see the different styles from the different eras and to hear the stories of the women who wore them.   Kimball looked great in her period gowns  This was my Junior prom dress  This was my mother's engagement dress.    Katie's Prom Dresses  My Senior Prom Dress

Scott and Danielle's Wedding

The pictures speak for themselves, it was a lovely wedding! Beautiful venue, lot's of family and friends, yummy food and lot's of fun! Congrats you two!

Crafty

Image
Grace is the crafty girl in the family.  I had a pair of her old pants I was going to throw out and she decided she was going to sew a purse with it.  With no help from me she sewed up the bottom and then sewed together some pieces for the strap and made this cute purse. I think the only thing I could sew at her age was a button.

Ogden Temple Rededication

Image
On our way up to Scott's wedding we thought it would be a great idea to stop by the newly renovated Ogden temple.  Our family, 8 years and older, will be attending the rededication via broadcast on Sunday, and we thought it would make it more meaningful.  Grandpa showed them a before and after picture, and they were pretty impressed. Grandpa watched the little girls so we could attend as a family, and when we got home he had this celestial dinner ready for us! We love having grandpa around!

Grace Turns 7

Image
My phone crashed and I lost all the pictures from Grace's birthday:( I am so sad! Happy #7 Grace!  Grace had an amazing day! She invited a bunch of friends and family to swim at the aquatic center and then they all came back to our house for pizza and banana splits! This little cutie is in second grade now and is an amazing reader!  She is getting really good at dancing and gymnastics and loves to cook!  Her new favorite thing to make is cheese quesadillas on the stove.  She loves to do crafts and has a lot of friends.

Grandpa took Taylor on a date to see "The Little Mermaid" at our local amphitheater.  She was so excited and bugged him all day asking if it was time to go.  The look on her face as they were leaving in the car was so cute! The rest of the family minus Garrett and Hinckley went and saw "The Wizard of Oz" with grandpa just a few days later since we had already seen little mermaid.  It was not nearly as good, but we still had a great time.
