Wastlund Family

Jaden and Kody got tickets to a boxing fight in Cleveland, Ohio. I helped plan and pitch in as a grad gift to them both. Jaden never got a trip because of covid. I was so nervous letting them go on their own, but they are adults now and I guess5 letting them go is something I need to get used to. Jaden said he had checked and the hotel would let them check in as long as they were over 18. While they were on the flight I had a feeling I needed to call the hotel. They told me they had to be 21 to check in. I asked to speak to the the manager and told her my boys 19 and 18 were traveling over 2000 miles from home and all the other hotels were now booked and my boys couldn't just wander the streets of Cincinnati and needed to be allowed to check in. I pulled the worried and upset mother card and promised they were good, respectful boys. She assured me they would take good care of them. When they went to check in the front desk clerk hasn't gotten the memo and wasn't going to ch

Grace is a member of her young women class presidency. She was in charge of the activity, so we hosted a marshmallow temple building contest and smores night. It also fell on her brithdayz so we made a party out of it! She has been celebrating all week. 

Grace's first performance on the DHHS dance company. Football half time! Excited for the year to begin.

This cute girl is turning 14!! She is one of my best friends and my mini me. She brings energy and laughter to our family, and is the best organizer there is. Love you Grace, happy birthday! Grace wanted a mother daughter night for her birthday with her good friend Sophie Joy and her mom Kristal (mom got a friend too). They went and got hair and nails done at Evans hairstyling college first, and then we headed up to Pine Valley for the night. We ate dinner at Brandin Iron Steakhouse, went on a walk, went on a ranger ride and got some ice cream, and then stayed up late watching movies and talking. It was a fun evening!

23 years with my sweetheart.  We celebrate every year by renewing our vows as we serve in the temple. I love being reminded of the promises we made to eachother and to God so long ago. It means even more this year after the temples were closed last year.  I am eternally blessed. Love you Garrett Wastlund! Always have, always will.

The entire Wastlund Family celebrated Gun and Lesly in the balck hills of South Dakota. Bear Country, Reptile Gardens, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Sturgis. We are so grateful for the legacy these two have created!
