THANKSGIVING

Image
We spent the day at Grandma and Grandpa Wastlund's house with all the family, minus Josh who was flying.  Mom and Breckan always do such a nice table spread. Grandpa sat up at the bar with Hinckley so she wouldn't have to eat alone. The two stooges!  They always seem to make the same facial expressions.  I am so grateful for this family, but sure did miss my own.   Grandpa snored through all the commotion after dinner. It was a great day!

School Projects

Image
5 kids at 4 different schools means a lot of homework!  This is one of the many projects I stayed up late to help finish.   This particular night Kody had this 10 page Egypt book to finish, Jaden had a book report, and Kimball needed help burning a CD for dance company.  I didn't realize when I was in school that I would be going to school until I was 52 (that is when Hinckley will graduate). I actually love helping my kids, and they do most of the work themselves, I just wish all their projects didn't seem to be due at the same time! :) And FYI...every project I have helped them with they have gotten 100%.

All ready for Christmas!

Day in the E.R.

Image
Grace has been suffering from stomach issues for a month now.  When she called me yesterday from school she was completely white and couldn't even walk because her stomach hurt so bad.  I decided to go ahead and just get her in to make sure everything was okay and she wasn't having an appendicitis.  5 hours later, one x-ray, a bad experience trying to get an I.V., lots of blood tests and a urine test later, we were told her colon was completely backed up.  Sounds like she may have her daddy's same stomach issues.  We got some Miralax in her and are now making sure she is eating all her fruits and veggies regularly.  I have also had the feeling that maybe she is suffering from lactose intolerance.  I have had her off dairy for 2 days now and she seems to be doing fine.  The second phlebotomist was so good getting her I.V. in, and even got her a teddy bear. Grace was already traumatized from the first one who tried twice, burst a vein and fished around forever leavi

Hoop Shoot

Jaden and Kody both won the hoop shoot.  Jaden for 7th grade and Kody for 6th.  Now it is on to the tournament. See, practice pays off!

Jubilee of Trees

The girls and I had a great time this year at the Jubilee of Trees.  Grandpa even came! Our favorite tree was the one Grandma Wastlund decorated.  Hot Chocolate and hot dogs There were a lot of photo ops.  We even saw Santa!  Decorating cookies  I think we will have to make this an annual date night with the little girls.

11-Year-Old Scouts

Image
Kody is part of a great scout troop.  He is not always thrilled about earning merit badges and attending the Pow Pow's, but he has a great time at the campouts.  Him and Jaden are still one track to have their Eagle at 14 .  Hooray for good scout leaders! Campout Kanarraville Falls Hike
