Ben turned #22. The family came over and celebrated with hawaaian haystacks and chocolate cake.

Merry Christmas Grandpa and Grandma

Image
Grandpa wasn't well enough to open presents on Christmas, but a few days later we got grandma and grandpa Wastlund to open their gifts. The most exciting one was one we have been working on for a while. A 50th Anniversary trip to South Dakota with their entire family in July. Mom and dad were both so grateful and in tears.

Merry Christmas!

I love watching my kids come down one by one Christmas morning and see their stockings. The kids all put together a stocking for Garrett and I this year with a stuffed animal and gift from each of the kids. It was very special. They also enjoyed giving a lot more this year. And we got some very heart felt gifts from these wonderful kids of ours. They are what make this day so Wonderful. I am so grateful for the gift of my Savior that brings us together in a spirit of giving and love.

Christmas Eve

Image
Christmas eve is always full of so many traditions. Our Shepherds feast, readings Luke 2, the sibling gift exchange, Christmas jammies, watching "It's a Wonderful Life" and getting ready for Santa to come. Family is the best gift.

Christmas Sunday

Christmas Sunday. While grandpa recovered from covid-19 upstairs grandma joined us at church. He has slowly been on thr mend, and she has gotten some much needed rest.

1 year Anniversary

We treated Kimball and Ben to dinner at Cliffside for their one year anniversary. This was also the night that Saturn and Jupiter aligned to create what looked like the star at a Jesus's birth.

Service Singing

My 4 girls went and sang "Do You Have Room" for Ben's grandma who is dying. They also sang the Sunday after Christmas in church. It was so wonderful seeing all my girls singing together. They have beautiful voices and I hope will perform together often. I had many texts from members of the ward saying thank you for the wonderful spirit they brought.

We have covid

We knew it would eventually happen, the timing was just terrible. 2 weeks before Christmas and right during my Family Reunion which we will have to miss. Lesly and Gun tested positive 2 days after stopping by the house and giving Garrett and the girls a hug.  Two days later Garrett got a sore throat and started feeling very tired and achy. He went and got tested and was positive for Covid-19. All of our family went into quarantine, missing work and school. All the kids eventually got it one by one, but Jaden and Garrett took it the worse. We are now on day 10 of qaurantine and Garrett is still fevering. I never got it. Not sure if I am asymptomatic or have already had it. Maybe it was so I could care for everyone else. I told Garrett the reason we got covid was because Gun and Lesly needed us to help take care of them, and they wouldn't have felt comfortable staying with us if we didn't have it. They ended up staying with us for a week because mom was so worried about being so

Kai is a teen

Kai is officially a teenager. We had fun helping him celebrate at "The House of Jump." It has been fun to have Jamen's family living near us even if it only for a year.
