My Sister is the Cutest!

Katie always comes up with the cutest matching Halloween costumes for her and Steve.  I just had to share this one!:)

Ward Halloween Party

Image
Minnie Mouse, An 80's Chick, a Caveman and a Cheetah all went with me to the ward Halloween party.  I brought the kids favorite cheesy potato soup, but it was gone before we even got through the line.  There was a fashion show for the kids, a magician, photo booth and a monster mash.  Taylor went without her shoes, but the weather has been so warm I didn't go back for them.

Mother/Daughter Breakfast

Image
Grace and I had fun at our first mother/daughter activity day.  The waffle bar was delicious, and we played a fun game to see how much we knew about one another.

Weekend Fun!

Image
The little girls LOVE their big brothers.  They had a fun weekend building forts in the backyard.

Super Scholar

Image
I was invited to the school assembly on Friday to watch Grace be recognized for being a super scholar.  She didn't know about it, and it was fun to be there to surprise her!

The Piano Guys

Image
Dad and I got tickets to piano guys, and had a fun date night!  It's a good thing my dad likes concerts and plays, because Garrett sure doesn't.:) They were so witty and talented.   Pachelbel's Canon was particularly hilarious!

A visitor from Croatia

Image
This is Jasmin, the one person Garrett converted (well, Garrett would say the Lord converted) while serving his mission is Croatia over 20 years ago.  He was in Las Vegas for a convention and made the time to come and visit.  I met him when we went to Croatia 15 years ago, and it was like we were never apart.  He has such a kind and good spirit, that our kids fell in love with him too.  We reminisced, sang songs from long ago, and Jasmin even gathered our kids around and shared his conversion story, and love for their dad and his testimony.   The spirit was so strong, and I think it helped our children to understand the scripture found in D&C 18:15 more fully that says...     " And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one  soul  unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!"

Aida Trip

Image
When we found out that Kimball's old director Kylee was in Aida up in Centerville, we had to go see it!  Kimball has been rehearsing like crazy to play Aida in her High School production next month.  We had a great time, and Kimball was glad she got to see another casts take on the show, and got some good ideas. We even found 3 awesome dresses for $20 each from Ross that we can alter and make beautiful for school dances.  We ate out, got our nails done, and just enjoyed girl time.
