Playing catch up

I have been a crazy lady this summer, but am finally getting back to blogging.  I have been taking a few college courses. Here is a link to my final project for my educational portfolio. I still have many more rationals and artifacts to include, but am well on my way to becoming an educator. Click here to see... My education portfolio

Pioneer Day

Image
I love our stake's Pioneer day celebration.  My cousin Cami and her husband Lauren were in town and came to the breakfast and helped out with the kids.  Hinckley followed the doggies around all day. Dunk Bucket! Bubble Soccer.  Kody making the winning goal.  Kimball is obsessed with the duck face right now!  The girls spent most of their time on the water slide.  Yes mom and dad really were here!  The fire truck finally came to cool us all off! We went to pine valley latter in the afternoon for a picnic and then came back to our house for sparklers and glow sticks.  Kimball is a little photo shy

Kody is the big 11.  No more elementary school and cub scouts. We celebrated with baked potato bar (his birthday dinner of choice), and then had friends over for a basketball game and movie.  The candy bar game!

No more training wheels!

Taylor taught herself how to ride a bike this week.  She just asked daddy to take off her training wheels one day and took off.

Grandpa Wastlund made these awesome "safe" boys and arrows for each of the kids.  They had such a good time having target practice. Taylor particularly loved it. She could not be found the rest of the trip without hers.  Hinckley had a tooth coming in and was a grump the entire time unless grandma was holding her.  Garrett has been watching "Man verses Wild" and decided to see if he could start a fire with just flint and steel.  It worked! Down in town the kids found a park And everyone had fun fishing and playing in the water Mom and Kody even caught a fish We spent most of the time chilling in the cabin.  Board games, pool, yummy food, visiting, and a very special testimony meeting our
