Recieving the Priesthood

Image
I can't believe I have a son old enough to receive the priesthood! Both Grandpa's, the Bishop, First Counselor, Scout Master and Y.M President and Deacon's Quorum Advisor stood in the circle with Garrett as he ordained him to the office of Deacon and conferred upon him the Aaronic priesthood.  It was a very special day!  It was so neat to see him stand up in church all spruced up in his new suit and looking ready to pass the sacrament next week. I even got to put together the Priesthood Preview for all the boys turning 12 this year.

Jaden Turns 12

Happy Birthday Jaden!  Kimball helping him to smile!  Jaden and Micah's B-day's are only 1 day apart, so the family came to our house for a bbq and then went over to Breckan's for cake and ice cream.  They each got to blow out one side of the cake. Birthday Buddies!  Birthday Fun  Cookies and money from Grandpa Woodstock  A Tie from Katie and Steve  And an expansion to his Talisman game and a trip to the "House of Jump"with a few friends from mom and dad.

Happy Birthday Bishop

I grabbed some primary kids from around the neighborhood and had them help me decorate hearts and heart attack the Bishops office door for his birthday. We also attached a bag with more treats for his office.  The kids were so excited and all the primary kids made a trip to his office Sunday to get a peek!

I love Firemen

The local fire department was in the neighborhood checking fire hydrants and Taylor stood outside for a long time waiving and smiling.  Well who can resist her cute smile?:)  They pulled the truck right up to our house and let her sit in the truck and honk the horn. I think we may have scared our neighbors, but it made Taylor's day!

Taylor's Knight in Shining Armor

Taylor was disappointed because she didn't have a sword and shield (We only have girl toys around here).  A few minutes later I noticed she was decked out in knightly attire.  Daddy had noticed her disappointment and made one for her.  She was beaming, and so was I.  I love this man of mine!

A Few more Reasons to Love St. George!

Saint George Children's Museum. It is so much fun, and free!  Sleeping Beauty  And of course Taylor chose to be a knight over a princess. Brigham's Playhouse We went and saw "Little Women" at this quant new theater, and Kimball auditioned for "Annie" and made it.  Can't wait to see many more plays here.

Spring Break

Image
We decided to hit Vegas for a few days for spring break, and I realized just how sheltered my kids are.  The smoky casino filled atmosphere had them a little overwhelmed at first, but once they adjusted they were okay.  We stayed at Circus Circus and had fun at the Midway, Adventure Dome and Pool.  We did end up leaving a day early because Garrett wasn't feeling well.  We were glad we had when everyone in the family came down with the flew throughout the next few days.  The kids jumped on this ride before they say what is actually did because there was no line.  The look on their sick faces as they began going upside down over and over again was hilarious!  Kimball got a lot of strange looks at the pool with her face painted. All worn out!
