Southern Utah Performing Arts Festival

Kimball's dance company performed "Troll" for SUPAF.  It is about bullying.  They got a superior rating.  She also did a solo Dance to the song "Try." I wish I would have gotten pictures but my phone was dead by that point.  She got an excellent rating. This girl amazes me every day!

Ward Block Party!

Image
What began as a small service to help a single mom with 6 kids became a huge party!  We ordered 350 tamales from her, so we needed lots of friends to share them with.   They were delish!!! We even had a live band from the ward play for us.  This is the most people ever in our yard. I love it! And what's a tamale party without a piñata!  We also had some amazing artists enter the chalk drawing contest.  We had to invite some friends!  We live in a great neighborhood!!

Valentine's Day!

Family Home Evening Valentine Minute to Win It! Toss the Heart  Stack the heart  Eat the Cookie Valentine Boxes Grace and Taylor both made boxes this year and had parties. I got to help in Grace's school party this year.   Garrett came home early from work on Friday with these beautiful roses in hand.  He took the rest of the day off to help me, and even got our new swing set put together for me. He sure knows what I like! I love that man of mine! For Valentines Day this year I invited everyone to "Cupids Crazy Cafe" for dinner.  Everyone filled out a mixed up menu with 4 courses, and had to wait to find out what they would be served.  Appetizers were Cupids arrows  Drinks  Heart Burgers  There was also salad with heart shaped veggies and red velvet cake with chocolate strawberries for dessert but I didn't get a picture :(. Everyone had a great time!  I couldn't have done it without Breckans

Kimball turns 15

Image
Kimball has a great group of friends.  They came and woke her up at 6 in the morning by throwing water on her and then took her and made her crepes for breakfast and a strawberry cheesecake.   Later that day while Kimball was at play rehearsal they also came and wrote 100 things they love about Kimball and posted them all over her door and floor.  Sunday the family came over for dinner, and I made Kimball this giant dirt cup trifle instead of b-day cake,  It was a big hit!  Grandma Wastlund began a new tradition by giving Kimball a piece of her crystal from her collection.  She plans on giving them to her grandchildren so they can be loved long after she is gone.  Kimball got Cinderella's slipper with a beautiful letter about staying positive throughout tribulation. We love you Kimball! Drivers permit here you come!

Thunder Idol

The Middle School holds a singing competition similar to the T.V. show "American Idol" every year.  Kimball auditioned and was one of 12 to compete.  She was AMAZING!  She exuded confidence and sang beautifully! She also had the coolest accompanist! Grandpa even wore hid fedora and leather jacket.  She won 2nd place!
