Amber's Birthday

I turned 30 yesterday. I didn't have to cook one meal the entire day, how much better does it get! Breakfast was mom's and doughnuts at the school, Garrett took me to lunch at my favorite "Iggy's", and then my wonderful mother in law made dinner for Grandpa Jenson and I who share the same birthday. Thank you to all of my sweet family members, neighbors and friends for all of the gifts, cards, babysitting and treats ( yes, I ate them). You all made me feel so special. It was a wonderful day!

Crazy Hair Day!

Image
Kimball and Jaden have been excited about crazy hair day all weekend. Had I known I would have waited a week to cut Jaden's hair. If you look closely you can see a tiny pig tail in the front. Kimball wanted me to stick a cup in the center of her hair so it stood straight up. Kody was disappointed because the Kindergartners don't have school today because of SEP's. We might do his hair crazy anyway to play with his friends. And Grace... always has crazy hair!

Heart Attack

My parents and Katie and Steve came into town for the weekend. It was fabulous! Katie babysat while I got to go house hunting with my parents. The prices are so great right now that they are buying a retirement home down here for when when they retire in 7 years. They want Garrett and I to rent it from them. It would help us save a ton of money and help them out also. We also went to see Garrett's parade home (he did an amazing job). Then later a babysitter came over and we all went to dinner with Garrett's parents and then to watch Garrett's basketball game (I actually got to watch the game without kids). When we got home we found that the kids (with help from one of our favorite babysitters Bailey) had heart attacked our room. What a great valentine surprise. Jaden with a little boys imagination saw these fake flowers, grabbed a hanger and... he became cupid.

Tidal wave!

I was cleaning all day yesterday in anticipation of showing my house today. 9:00 rolled around I was was getting ready to put myself to bed when Kimball came running upstairs. "There is a spill in the laundry room." Sure enough the entire bottle of liquid Tide I had bought at Costco was now all over the walls, floor, clothes, pantry and everywhere else you can imagine! Someone had put it on top of the washer and it had spun off during the spin cycle (probably me). I should have taken a picture because I just stood there for about 3 minutes staring! I was over tired and had no idea where to start. I was finally done after an hour.

A pirates life for me!

Grandma and Grandpa Wastlund treated the family to pirate island pizza last night. If you haven't been it was fun! The kids had a blast and is was great to see Breckan and the kids who are in town for a few weeks. The only mishap was when Grace wandered off and the waitress returned asking "does this one belong to you?" Of course, who else!

Nice to be nine.

It is our year for family parties for all of the kids birthday's. Since Kimball's Birthday fell on a Sunday, we had all of the family over for Sunday dinner. Kimball got to choose her favorite meal (Hawaiian haystacks). Since she hates cake(crazy huh!), she asked grandma Wastlund to make her strawberry jello cups instead. She loved all of the presents, and all of the cards she received in the mail. She is so sweet and easy to please, that she would be happy with no presents at all as long as she has her family around. I am such a lucky mom!
