New Years Eve

Image
I made the trip to Provo with my girls to attend a New Years Eve party with my Aunt Sallee and all her kids, and Uncle Gregory and all his kids.  It was so fun to see all my cousins, and for my kids to meet all their 2nd cousins. Happy New Year!

Surprise Mckenna!

Image
Kimball's friend Mckenna turned 16 a few weeks ago. Her parents arranged for a girls trip to Zion National Park.  Kimball and all of Mckenna's friends surprised her in the mall.  They were waiting in a prom dressing room and when she opened the door she was beyond shocked.  They then took her up to Zion where they stayed the night at the Cliffrose Lodge, went to dinner, saw the new "Star Wars" movie at the imax, and then enjoyed the hot tub and girls night.

Christmas

The kids actually slept in longer than we thought they would.  They started trickling down to get into their stockings around 6:30.  We didn't get around to presents until around 8:00. Daddy sure spoiled mommy this year! He even told me that I could begin getting things ready to build a cabin in Pine Valley...best present ever! I have continued my mom's tradition of getting my kids a new ornament every year.  This year I made my own with pictures of each of the kids with me and Garrett.  I love them, and I think they did too! The kids all said they got exactly what they wanted this year.  The boys got the "Nets on Fire" basketball system and new basketball shoes and uniforms. Kimball got a new prom dress and got a few dresses altered.  Grace got an American Girl doll, Taylor got a train, and Hinckley got a new bike. They were all very grateful and everyone had a great morning. After we were done opening presents we headed over to grandma and g

Christmas Eve

After our shepherds feast and reading the Christmas story, the kids got to open their Christmas jammies.  Grandma always gets them a pair, and they got one from mom this year too. Then the kids had fun dancing, wrestling, and being together until we told them it was time to head to bed so Santa could come. And come he did!

Shepherd Feast

We began a new tradition last year of having a Shepherds feast on Christmas Eve, and it has become one of the things my kids look forward to the most. Eating by candlelight and enjoying some of the foods Jesus might have eaten when he was one the Earth, really helps set the mood before we read the Christmas story.

Santa Party

My kids look forward to the "Santa Party every year.  I loved seeing the look on Hinckley's face as Santa walked through the door.  It is always fun to get together with Garrett's side of the family.

Christmas Sunday

Image
My dad lead the choir all of Sacrament meeting for the Christmas program at church, and still came home and surprised us with this beautiful Christmas dinner. It was heavenly to walk in the house and see this table spread.   I can always count on SuLynn to say yes to all of my last minute requests.  She ran over and took pictures of our family all dressed us in their Sunday dress.
