Welcome Baby Perrin!

Image
One of the greatest joys as a sister is to watch your siblings become parents.  Congrats Scott and Danielle!  He is a tiny darling little thing.  Can't wait to be the best aunt ever and spoil him every time he comes to my house!

Vicki

Image
I have been blessed with great friends.  Well, my friend Vicki is going through a very hard time right now.  Her husband of 27 years suddenly said he wanted a divorce and married his high school sweetheart 4 months later. Vicki was completely blind sided.  The day of his wedding we took her on a girls weekend up in Salt Lake. We cheered on our High School girls and girls basketball teams at state, and watched SuLynn's daughter Shelby perform at half time.  We went to the temple, shopped, ate, stayed up late at the hotel watching "Friends" and talking.  The funniest memory was going out to dinner at "Roosters Brewery".  The food was recommended to us. Vicki is doing the weight watchers program right now, and looked up the restaurant in her app to figure out her meal points.  The restaurant that came up instead was "Hooters." We laughed about it even harder when Garrett texted and asked what we were up to. I told him we were at "Roosters" no

We Own Land in Pine Valley!

Image
Garrett and I happened upon this land in Pine Valley and fell in love.  It is .80 acres and in a beautiful neighborhood with paved roads.  Since we own our home free and clear, we took out a home equity loan to pay for it.  We got it for $120,000, and could probably sell it for $135,000 today.  We were the first to make an offer and there were tons who offered after us.  We will build on it in 8-10 years after the lot is paid off and we have some money saved. We offered the back section of the lot to Gun and Lesly to build on.  They are going to build a garage with a workshop and RV garage with an apartment above it.  I am happy to have someone there to look after our land and our home one day.  It makes me feel better about having a second home.  With all the craziness in the world right now, I feel even stronger that we need a place of refuge that we can go and keep our family safe.  The lot behind us has a well and the water rights to our property.  We hope to get them from them, a

Happy Birthday to Me!

Image
The day before my birthday Kimball got pizza and invited all the family over for a game night, my favorite!  I was completely surprised when Katie and her kids walked in.  She made the drive all the way from Spanish Fork with 4 kids for my birthday, and I was actually surprised which never happens.  On my birthday Breckan and grandma Wastlund brought dinner and cake.  Garrett made me a beautiful tray for my bathtub that I have been wanting, and Grace took me to get salts for my baths.  This birthday I felt so much love and gratitude for all the wonderful people in my life.  I am sure a loved and blessed wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.

Seven Brides For Seven Brothers

Image
Kimball and Ben got to perform together as Liza and Dan in St. George Theaters production of  "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers."  It was one of my favorite productions I have seen there.  The cast was incredible...2 in particular (Wink ;)).  I went and saw it 6 times, and was sad when it was over.  Kimball and Ben began rehearsals before they got married, and got to finish out the show as man and wife.  Many of  the cast were at their wedding.  They only live 4 doors up from the theater which made it really nice.

Valentine Day

Image
Heart shaped pizza's on Valentines has become a tradition.  I always need a reason to throw a party,  and these people sitting below are the greatest reasons I have!  My back was still having spasms, so Kimball and Grace were angels and took my place helping at Hinckley's class Valentine party.

Eagle Scout

Image
Jaden was such a great scout all growing up.  He finished his eagle project about 3 years ago, and just wouldn't turn in his paper work. We had about given up when a new scout leader was called.  Bro. Walker wouldn't let him quit. He came over every Sunday and encouraged him to talk to who he needed to, get signatures, get letters of recommendations, and be at his board of review.  Well he did it...with mom's help. I promised him I wouldn't do a court of honor, but I want him to know how proud of him I am for sticking it out.

Girls Birthday Trip to Texas to meet Baby Stella

Image
Jace and Trella had a baby in December, so Katie and I thought Texas would be the perfect place for our girls birthday trip.  It was frustrating getting there, because they kept delaying my flight out of St. George.  At one point I would arrive in Salt Lake 2 minutes after the flight to Texas I was supposed to board with Katie left. They moved it up again, and I landed in Salt lake with 20 minutes to spare. of course there was construction at the airport and was had to be shuttled from the plane to the terminal.  I missed the 1st shuttle by 1 person and had to wait for the second, and then once I hit the terminal I ran from one side of the airport to the other.  Katie was there waiting, and I made it just as they were finishing boarding.  We flew into San Antonio and rented a car to make the 1.5 hour drive to Victoria.  We had so much fun talking and almost died of laughter when we passed what smelled like skunk roadkill being barbecued in sulfur.  We couldn't breath for a few mil
