Mama Woodstock's Birthday!

Image
The big 54! I probably shouldn't be sharing that. :) Her favorite candy bar- Almond Joy Her favorite gum-Cinnamon Trident Her favorite color nail polish- pink She just had to try this thing ( shake weight if you can't tell). I think the best gift was having Scott visit for a few days! Grandpa took her away for the night and a relaxing day in Brianhead. Katie surprised her and came all the way from Springville and Amber took her for her first professional pedicure! We love you mom, happy birthday!

Cupcakes!

Image
This may look like an ordinary cupcake, but it is really the size of a cantaloupe! I got this great cake idea from my freinds SuLynn and Jolynn. I am going to make one of these for each of my Mia Maids on their birthdays. I have had lot's of practice, three cakes in two days. The down side- you can't just leave it on the doorstep and sometimes have to try to deliver a few times to catch them home. The up side- super easy and makes me have to deliver it in person!

100 Years of Scouting

Image
Jaden and I spent all day Saturday with the wolf scouts at the giant 100 years of scouting celebration. There were over 3500 scouts. The boys had fun preparing for battle making swords, shields, forts, catapults and learning fencing and mapping skills. They then actually got to participate in a huge battle. Making Swords. Catapults Very disappointed that it wasn't working too well! Building forts Shield making Fencing Grabbing some dinner before the big battle. Battle time. Look how much dust was in the air! The Closing ceremonies was complete with a jet fly over, a concert from "T minus 5"(the boys all got autographed CD's after), a televised message from the Prophet and a fireworks show set to the theme songs from Superman, Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Dixie Round Up Rodeo-Take 2

Image
After Last years drama (click here for last years rodeo story) the kids swore they would never attend the rodeo again. Well, since Kimball was performing we gave it another shot. Jaden and Kody were the only ones to stick it out with me and Grandpa, daddy got tired and took the girls home early. The boys would not leave until the bull riding was over. (which of course is the last event) Kimball did awesome singing at the rodeo and has plans to audition for the Star spangled Banner next year already, so I think we will now be annual rodeo attenders. Check out this video of her performance, she is pretty collected for a 10 year old. Daddy accompanied her on the guitar. We even got to see grandpa and Breckan and the kids!

Sisters

Image
These two little ladies have the entire day to spend together. It has been so fun to see Taylor getting a personality and interacting with Grace, especially now as she is becoming mobile and beginning to crawl. She watches Grace closely, and giggles at the things she does. She has also began screaming when someone takes a toy from her or she doesn't get what she wants (another thing she has learned from Grace). I am so excited to watch them grow up together!

Family Scavenger Hunt

Image
We went on a scavenger hunt for both our activity and treat. The boys and girls separated and both had $6.50 to get an item for each letter in the word FAMILY. The girls were the fastest beating the boys time by 5 minutes, but the boys only spent $6.28 where as the girls spent $6.32. A very fun night! F -Fruit Slices, Fingernail Polish A - Apple Juice. Apple Pie M - Milk Chocolate (A stretch by the boys), M&M's I - Ice Cream Bar, Ibuprofen L - Lays, Lip Gloss Y - Yogurt, York Peppermint Patty We love our family!
