Wastlund Family

Every Thursday at 6:00 am for the rest of the summer the young women have a goal to attend the temple. Last week was our first time and it was a sweet experience. 

Grandma finally made it up to Pine Valley to see the cabin.  W played some cards, ate some burgers and enjoyed the yummy cake Danielle made.  She only has a few weeks left in rehab and then will be going into the Beehive home.  We are excited to have her a little closer to visit with. 

 We reserved the swimming pool, and had fun playing games and watching the city fireworks and doing some sparklers and poppers with the kids. Both sets of grandparents came and so did the Sullivans. I am so grateful for my freedom and my family.  My life is truly blessed!    

So daddy was left in charge of taking Jaden out to get his permit because mom was at girls camp.  The DMV is about 30 minutes away.  Garrett got all the way out there and had forgotten to bring Jaden's birth certificate, social security card and proof of residence. By the time they got back with all the information the DMV was close to closing.  They told Jaden he could take the harder 25 question test, but it was all about DUI laws and Jaden failed.  The next day at Jaden's drivers ed class he told his teacher what had happened.  His teacher told him he would let him take the end of course test.  He passed it with an 87 and got his permit!!! Jaden is already a great driver because of all his experience on the dirt bikes and the ranger.  He even drove all the way to Pine Valley and back for our family vacation.

We began the final day of camp with a river walk.  Then toured the historic Pine Valley Chapel. We then had dinner with the bishopric and enjoyed some pie. The testimony meeting is always the highlight of camp, and it did not disappoint.
