The girl's helped all day put up Christmas decorations and clean out the storage room, so I took them to the children's museum.  They love this place!

A Wastlund Thanksgiving

Image
I got up and went on my annual 6 mile run Thanksgiving morning.  It was actually really great, considering the most I have ran in two years is 3 miles. Then we headed to grandma and grandpa Wastlund's for the day.  It was very relaxing since she wouldn't let me bring anything but the ice cream, and dinner was amazing as always!

A Woodstock Thanksgiving

All of my family came a week early to celebrate Thanksgiving so they could watch Kimball perform in "Aida." And I finally got to meet Jace's girlfriend Trella and her daughter Ever.  She fit in great! I loved having all my family here, and the dinner turned out amazing other than the salty gravy.  Note to self...if you brine your turkey do not use more than a cup of the drippings from the turkey in the gravy! Daniel came a little late and missed all the pictures, but he was here too! :)

Aida

Playing Aida was a dream role and experience Kimball will never forget! No one could have played the part better, and both her and I were approached by the producer of Tuacahn, and the directors of Saint George Musical theater and Brigham's Playhouse asking her to try out and to give thought to where her career will go from here.  The comment was made that she was already college level, and one even went on to say that he preferred Kimball's performance to Heather Headley's who played Aida on Broadway!  Even as her mother, already knowing how talented she was, I was blown away, as was almost everyone who congratulated us after the show. I had to remind myself and all of them that she is only 15 years old, and other than vocal lessons and continuing on in theater and graduating High School she has no plans.  Thank you to all of the friends and family who went out of their way to come and support her. Especially Grandpa Woodstock who not only helped her as her accompan

And so it begins

Garrett and I have talked about how wonderful it is to have 4 daughters. The fact that they are all beautiful and talented will keep us on our toes during their teenage years I am sure.   Kimball has already given us a taste as she has numerous boys waiting to ask her out the minute she turns 16, and has even developed her first "crush." I am sure she will love that I shared that ;)!  We are gearing up for the hormonal roller coaster!  Their brothers are very protective though and will be good allies. Who knows though the boys could be worse...
