Sledding

Image
We had so much fun sledding this year, and the weather in Cedar was warmer than St. George!  I bundled everyone up because we froze last year, but they had all stripped to their snow pants in about 5 minutes. We ended up at Cedar Middle School.  The hill was the perfect size for the kids to sled and not get too worn out heading back up the hill. Grace and Taylor even braved the hills alone with their little sleds that they could pull themselves.

Christmas

Image
Christmas Eve I only got a few pictures because I was using the camcorder, but it was a wonderful morning.  Everyone was so loving and grateful. And I loved celebrating Christmas on Sunday, it made the day feel that much more special! After Church we went to Grandma and Grandpa Wastlund's for dinner and more presents. We also got to visit Grandpa Jenson who is home from the hospital after his heart surgery, and my Aunt Cat who we were able to help for the next few days after Christmas.  Grace loved her Barbie house!  And daddy took mommy shopping for the things she wanted.  Magnetic board, jewelry tree, and rice cooker.  Heading to church Merry Christmas!

Prophet Christmas Project

Image
Since my children are all named after prophets, I wanted them each to have a picture of their prophet in each of their rooms.  I found six or seven quotes from each prophet that they are remembered for, and put them all around their names along with their favorite temple and prophet picture.  I hope this will help them draw closer to that prophet and that their inspired counsel will touch them at some point in their lives as they remember what he has taught. I hope to sit down with them one on one sometime on Christmas and read and explain each of these quotes.  They have such amazing namesakes and I want to encourage them to take on those attributes.  It has been interesting as I have learned what each prophet stands for, how our children are named after the perfect one.

A Disneyland Christmas

Garrett and I decided to take the kids to Disneyland for Christmas this year.  What better way to spend Christmas than by making memories. We packed them each a Mickey bag with new movies, games and snacks for the ride, and off we went!  Way stayed at the Marriott Residence inn and loved it.  A full kitchen, separate bunk bed room for the kids and a king bed for mom and dad. They also had a basketball court which the boys loved, a wading pool perfect for Grace along with the pool and hot tub.  They served breakfast and dinner which was a huge money saver and even showed movies on a big screen in the kids eating area.  The transit also picked us up right outside the hotel.  We had to take the traditional Disneyland picture! Amazing Christmas decorations! No one does it like Disney.  The weather was in the 70's, absolutely beautiful!  We got a call from our neighbors telling us our sprinkler...
