Young Women
I told Garrett when we first moved into our new ward that I thought I was going to be called to Young Womens. Well, I called to get Jaden going in his new scout troop, and found out they needed another den leader. After just being released as primary president I thought how wonderful an easy calling like that would be, and kind of volunteered. 3 days later I was called to scouts. I spent days preparing all my scout projects, a "denner bucket", "den doodle", I even sewed a flag for the boys to design. Well, Sunday we spoke in church. I spoke on Mother's and was told by so many people how well I did (3 times by the bishop). The next day I received a call and was asked to meet with the bishop and to bring my husband. Anyone who has been a member of this church very long knows that means something big. Well, I am now 1st counselor in the Young Women's. This Wednesday I held my first and last den meeting (I will be turning over all my new projects to a new den leader). Moral of the story... don't spend so long preparing your talk when an auxiliary is being reorganized, and most importantly, don't fight against the Lords will.
I haven't taught anyone over the age of 11 for 12 years, but I am very excited to serve the Young Women in our ward, and with the Lords help I know I will do fine.
