Ode to In-laws

I just have to say "I have the best in-laws in the world." We came home from Zion to find a new handle set on the from door( Jaden broke our old one), the kitchen drawer fixed (you know the one your husband never gets around to fixing) and the kitchen clean. Not to mention all of the times they come to the rescue when I am about to pull my hair out with the kids or am sticking to the kitchen floor because I have not had a minute the entire week to clean. They never judge me, and I have never felt like they intrude. And though this will not be the last time they come to the rescue I just have to say "I love you my wonderful in-laws!" I know I don't deserve you, but am so thankful to have you!

Spring Break in Zion

We celebrated Jadens' birthday with our friends the Mahi's and the Dickson's at a beautiful cabin in East Zion. The best part was that we didn't pay a cent...well we are trading. :) 18 people in 1 home and what a blast! Jaden had breakfast burritos (his favorite meal) and Mommy's banana cake on his special day! We did everything: Zip line, horse back riding, ATV's, ping pong, basketball, pool, hiking , biking and paintball (I'll post those pictures when I get them). The swimming pool will be open the next time we visit. Do you know how to drive this thing?! Grace does not like horses! Kimball and Kody's favorite part was the zip line. We hiked a river bed. The kids did great although we turned back a mile before the rest of the group because of our grumpy 1 year old who was tired of being on daddy's shoulders. Daddy had to rescue his girls a few times coming down because we had no traction on the bottom of our shoes. It was very sandy. What a won...

Our wonderful neighbors the Marchant's invited everyone over to celebrate daylight savings with dessert for FHE last night. Can you believe we how many kids we have on our circle? This picture is even missing about 12 not mention a few teenagers and one baby on the way (well, that I know of:)). 30 kids (sorry if I forgot someone), that is a lot of children 10 and under. You can imagine what it looks like when everyone is out riding their bikes. What a great street for children to live on! We love our fabulous neighbors. Thanks for the yummy food and fun evening! The Fantastic Four! Kimball and her friends range from 6-9 yrs old, and although sometimes four is a crowd... they are great friends!

I can do it!

I had such a fabulous run yesterday that I had to share. I ran 13.1 miles yesterday and it was great (I even beat my time from the St. George half marathon). I began thinking "maybe I can do this". But I am only half way there. 7 more long runs before the Ogden marathon. Next week is 15 miles, farther than I have ever gone. Wish me luck!
