Wastlund Family

My goal this year was to be done with Christmas before Thanksgiving, so I could relax and enjoy both holidays. I am done shopping, my Christmas cards are ready to be mailed, and my decorating is done.  Just in time too, because I was just called to be the new PRIMARY PRESIDENT!  The kids are loving our tree, it can be either white or colored! Even got the house lights put on!  Happy Holidays Everyone!

Hinckley has really begun to tell us what she wants lately.  She points to everything and uses the few words she knows to get her point across (in this picture she is asking for a banana).  Just yesterday she saw her cousin Jonah drinking a bottle and walked up to him and said "No, my ba." Love to see her little personality coming out!

Breckan helped us start Thanksgiving out right by hosting a "Thankful Night." She made homemade wassail, and we made this thankful book for our family.  Hinckley's shirt say's "Everyone is Thankful for ME!"  And that is the truth!  We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Wastlund's.  I never remember to take pictures, so instead you get the after consumption coma! We just lay around and visited about all the things that we are thankful for to end the day...the best part!

 I got to go eat lunch with my two favorite elementary school kids today!

 Our family outgrew our last van 14 months ago when Hinckley was born and we have been holding out for the right one. Well, we found it!  This 2007 was babied by it's previous owners, has half the miles and...eight seats! We can all legally buckle up now! Goodbye little white van, we will miss you!

This little one year old is more than I can handle lately! She can climb onto our raised bar or anything else she sets her mind to, and is constantly making messes and eating anything she can find!  I just pray she makes it to her 2nd birthday!

 Jaden is very physically fit, he loves exercising and can whip out more push ups and sit ups that any other boy I know!  So proud of you Jaden for keeping your body strong!

 So dad got tickets to the "Bar J Wranglers" show at the Jubilee of Trees for us.  They sold out quick! Garrett and Kimball ended up having a mutual activity feeding dinner to the elderly in our ward, so grandma Wastlund and grandma Jenson got to come too.  Thanks DAD!   We got to see the "Beauty and the Beast" tree that grandma Wastlund designed and decorated for the Jubilee. Of course it was the best one! :)  Getting ready for the show to start.  I just have to say these guys were amazing!  So talented and funny!  Kody even made the comment "These guys are funnier than Weird Al." It Brought back memories of seeing them on their ranch in Jackson Hole Wyoming when I was young.

Nancy and Jessie are two of my good friends, and were my college roommates and maid of honor and brides maid at my wedding.  Wow how the years have changed us!  Nancy is expecting her 3rd baby after an 11 year gap thinking they were not able to have any more children...Surprise! And Jessie just had her 8th child two weeks ago. Add my six children and you have 17 children in the 15 years since we were together in college.  I sure do love and miss these ladies!

I love this weekend out with 3100 of my best friends (well 3 of them were kind of special to me), but at this conference you just feel a unity and strength with everyone there. Women are capable of so much, and I always come away with ambition and a desire to be a better wife, mother and woman.   Katie even surprised me and found a ticket online and showed up!  We had a little too much fun at the photo booth! And this is what you get when you tell everyone to make a funny face and only one person does!  SuLynn was our resident photographer and put together these awesome collages of our speakers.
