Update on Mom

Since my last post about my mother, she has finally been diagnosed!  It is not a great diagnoses but we are thankful there is at least a plan now.  She has Stage 4 acute Leukemia, and is now being treated at the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City.  She has begun her first round of Chemotherapy and has been fighting nauseousness and anxiety.  My dad is still by her side every day, although he was able to get an apartment provided to family of the patients near the hospital. My brother Jamen flew home from Afghanistan for a few weeks to spend some time with my mom.  We just don't know how the Chemo is going to work and she has progressed so quickly that he wanted to see her while she was still strong.  We had a family fast last Sunday on her behalf.  3 wards and various friends also joined us.  We pray that the lord will surround her with angels and lift her up during this trying time in her life.  We know she can make it with enough faith if it is the Lords will!
