Wastlund Reunion

We went with all the Wastlund clan to Duck Creek above Cedar City this year.  The cabin mom rented was beautiful!  It was a climb up some switchbacks to get there, but the trees and area were gorgeous.

These deer were right in the back yard and one of them even came up to the kids and let them pet it.

We had so much fun just spending time together, and felt the spirit so strongly during the firesides and discussions.

Craft time
We got family picture taken the night before we left town, and I asked the photographer to send me a picture of all the grandchildren with grandpa and grandma so I could get it printed to put in a frame that all the kids got to decorate.

Mammoth Caves
We took the younger kids to walk around mammoth caves, and then the boys and daddies went back later to go spelunking.  Jaden and Kody got pretty claustrophobic in a few spots but had fun.  Jaden said "that was the 3rd scariest thing I've ever done!"

 Smores
These marshmallows (Josh's perfectly toasted) and (Breckan's burnt to crisp) were so funny!

A cute story...while we were there there was quite a large rain/hail storm.  All the little kids went upstairs and came down a few minutes later and announced "We said a prayer and the rain stopped, it's a miracle!"  "Now we can go back outside and play!" And lo and behold it really had.  We went to check on the kids after a few minutes and there they were saying another prayer of thanks.

This was how the entire weekend went.  Everyone felt the spirit and so much love for each other.  Jaden and Kimball even got up during testimony meeting on Sunday and bore their testimonies about the weekend and importance of families.  Jaden said "our family fireside was the most spiritual experience I have ever had."
