Penitent

We have been attending the marriage and family relationships Sunday School class in church, and during the lesson a few weeks ago we began discussing what our spouse does to show they love us. An older gentleman in the class raised his hand and said that since the day he was married his bed is magically made every day, and he always has clean garments.  I admit after having every baby I get really behind on both, and there have been many a day when Garrett has gotten out of the shower and had to go the laundry room for clean garments.  I thought to myself "well maybe his wife isn't as busy as I am with 6 kids", and then remembered that this man and his wife have 13!  I felt very guilty! So...about 3 weeks ago I decided that my husband will always have a made bed, and clean garments in his drawer (both things he loves).  My little service to him for all he does for me and our family! It is amazing how easy things become when they become important!

Side note...I haven't told Garrett about this life change I am making, and he may never notice, but I know, and that is all that matters! :)

You are an amazing wife!!!! Garrett is lucky to have you!
I had read this post a while ago and was thinking about it the other day. I LOVE this story! I was thinking about that sweet wife and wondered if her side of the story was the same as his. :) Did she feel like she was swimming in laundry, never able to clean the room and never doing enough?! :) Either way...such a cute story and it really has me re-motivated to do more for my family!
