A day in the life.

This is a post just to clear my mind.  I feel like life is more than I can handle at certain moments and then suddenly I feel like I can conquer the world. These feeling come at random times and random places, but I am thankful I have both to keep me humble and grateful!

Along with being Young Women president and trying to plan Excellence Night, New Beginnings, and Youth Conference, I am a busy mother, training for a marathon (2 more weeks), am helping a disabled aunt, and was just nominated Sunday to head up the "Special Needs Harvest Ball" for the entire St. George area. At moments I feel like I can handle it all and am actually grateful for all the opportunities I have to serve. I am however tired and doubt my ability to do everything. To make matters worse Garrett is having the same kind of month with a lot of stress and more work than he can handle (which really is a blessing). But, when he works longer so do I, and 2 tired parents doesn't work well with 5 children.

With all this said,  the Lord has really blessed me.  Ideas have come to my mind, events are getting planned and organized.  I have had some great training runs (19 miles in 3hrs 40 min).  My kids have been very obedient and helpful (well, Grace has been a trial). And most importantly, I turn more to the Lord. It is times like this that my favorite scripture comes to mind "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

So I guess when it all comes down to it, I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve the Lord, and am grateful for all those who help me along the way!

I remember feeling overwhelmed when Clark got put in as Bishop (and many times since then), but I try to remember "who the Lord calls, the Lord qualifies", and "where is much is given, much is required" and try to look at all the blessings we have! You have always had such a upbeat positive attitude... you are amazing!
