Wastlund Family

Found this cute picture of my oldest and my youngest today on the computer!

It is quite a feat to get our entire family dressed in their Sunday best and all to be nice for a picture! Kimball and I sang in the ward choir conducted by Grandpa Woodstock, and then Grandpa, Daniel, Grandma Jenson, Breckan's family, and Kraig's family came over for Sunday dinner. Grandma and Grandpa Wastlund were home sick with the flu. I even cooked lamb this year! Coloring Eggs Easter egg hunt  The Giffords came over to hunt eggs with us on Saturday. Hinckley just liked opening the eggs   Taylor was pretty excited to find candy in her egg! Jaden and Kody just searched around for the eggs filled with money. Kimball didn't join the hunt this year, but was our official egg hider.

Kimball and Jaden both attended this workshop put on by "Raging Red" Daniels performing group at the College. They LOVED IT!! only $37 for a full day at the workshop, lunch, a T-shirt and water bottle.  Well worth the money. Kody and Grace even decided they want to do it next time after watching them perform that afternoon.  Jaden pretending to lift a really heave weight.   Kimball even got to sing a solo.  Daniel is quite the performer!

As Primary President I am invited to a lot of neighborhood events. Front yard dancing performances,  makeover morning, and I even got to help judge a cookie contest with the neighborhood girls! It's nice to feel important.:)

 I figured it out, and I have attended the elementary school track meet every year since Kimball was in 2nd grade!  That is 7 years! Kody moves onto the intermediate school this year, and Grace will not be track meet age for another year, so guess what?! Next year I get a year off! Not that we don't enjoy it, but it is long and hot!  Here we are all geared up again for the track meet.  We didn't get there early enough to get our usual spot, but still found a place in the shade!   Kody and his good friend Colten took 1st and 3rd in the 100 Meter.  And this is his gang he hangs out with at school.  Hinckley was pretty worn our after 4 hours, so grandpa came and grabbed her from us and put her down for a nap.  It is nice having all the schools a 1/4 mile from your house!

I talked my friend SuLynn into attending my brother Daniel's Fundraiser for the preforming group he is in at the college.  With her help we ended up winning a lot of fun stuff and putting our money into helping Daniel's group get to China next month. 

 Kody is a very good student and even earned the "Super Scholar" award this month at school! His last parent teacher conference his teacher gave him the best pep talk ever!!! Kody is obsessed with basketball and his teacher Mr. Cather knows this and is impressed by his natural ability, so he said "Kody your grades are great, but do you put as much effort into your school work as you do when your on the basketball court? He answered honestly...No, and then Mr Cather Said "If you would do that you would be unstoppable on and off the court." Kody obviously took it to heart!
