Wastlund Family

This is Kody's Washington Community Center league this year.  Garrett got to be coach and Kody has progressed leaps and bounds from last year.  He is outside practicing every minute he is home, and has gotten really good at dribbling and shooting.  He actually has developed a habit now of practicing his shooting form constantly, so if you see his arm fly in the air randomly throughout the day you know why.:)

 Kody shooting a three pointer in his last game. Jaden and Kody have began a new endeavor competing in "All Star Hoops." This is a potential year round basketball league that Garrett has begun to coach. Jaden and Kody both play on the team. Most of the other teams in the league have been competing together for over 3 years, so our team is very raw and learning to play together, but they have great potential. These are boys who will be attending the same high school and will be playing together.

Every single one of my girls thus far has cut their own hair about this age. Grace even went so far as to cut Taylor's hair for her a year ago.  It had finally grown out and then Taylor decided to try her hand at it today. And you know what? I like it short!

The girls would not go to bed until we went outside and blew horns, and they had to get to bed so I could take the older kids to their New Year's Parties. So at 8:30 they blew in the New Year and were off to bed! Garrett and the girls stayed at home and slept while the boys were gone all evening at a friends and Kimball and I partied at the Coombs house! I barely made it to midnight! This was the first year I have watched the ball come down in New York, and was disgusted when they showed the top 10 highlights of 2013.  Almost every single one was gross or pornographic! Scared to see what 2014 has in store!
