Broken wrist

Taylor was so excited that she had been asked to play for the 16u team. In the first inning she was catching when a foul tip flew back and hit her. She still continued to catch and even got up to bat but I could tell something was wrong when she wouldn’t swing. She came out of the dugout and I went and asked if she was okay and she burst into tears. For her to leave the game I knew she must be hurt pretty bad, so we took her to the orthopedic insta care and sure enough she had broken the little bone right at the bottom of her hand. The doctor said it was a common baseball injury because the glove doesn’t quite cover that bone. I immediately ordered a guard to attach to her mitt for the future, but she is out for the summer season. 3 weeks in a cast and 3 more in a brace!
