Release

Garrett was released as bishop today. It was so sudden and we weren’t ready. We understood though when we made the decision to sell our home it was coming, even though it might take months to sell, but within one week of telling President Barney, the change came. We both bore our testimonies in church, and we felt the loss of the mantle keenly. He only served for 8 months, but the growth we received spiritually and in our relationship was huge. I mourn the change I would have seen in Garrett and myself after 5 years of him serving as bishop, but am grateful for the Lord’s confidence in us and the blessing we received.
