The Cabin- A Home for Grandma and Grandpa

We purchased a beautiful lot on 400 East in Pine Valley with the hopes of building  a carriage house for Gun and Lesly to live in, and eventually a cabin for us.  Gun and Lesly had paid for plans, engineering and were just waiting for approval from the water conservancy district to begin building.  It was then we found out that the owner of the land had illegally subdivided the lot and we could not build on it. After a lot of cost and heartache, they bought it back, and we were again on the lookout for a home in Pine Valley. At this point Kimball and Ben were going to be moving into the Casita, and we needed a home for Gun and Lesly soon. It was such a blessing that we ran into this one at 215 Mountain View Drive.  Lesly reached out to a friend that had sent her a message at Christmas and they happened to mention they were selling a place in Pine Valley if Lesly knew anyone looking.  The minute we drove up, we knew this was meant for us. Lesly had always wanted a log cabin, and this was so well built will Canadian logs.  The little couple who lived here had both passed on and you could feel their love and spirit in this home.  They lovingly named it "The Pines" and hand planted every single one of the many  pine trees surrounding the property. It needed some updating, so we replaced the flooring and kitchen, and grandma and grandpa built in a bunk room for all the grandkids.  We purchased this home for $375,000 for Gun and Lesly to retire in and take care of  as a place the entire family can come and enjoy and prepare for the saviors return. We hope to make many memories here.
