The final gift of Christmas

On Christmas eve each member of our family writes something that they are going to get better at this year to give as a gift to Jesus. We then open the gift the following Christmas and see how we did. Kimball wouldn't tell me what her's was this year. I woke up the day after Christmas and found this note on the counter of a beautifully cleaned kitchen. She had stayed up cleaning (the final gift of Christmas). My scanner isn't working, so you can't really read this note, but this is what is said.

Dear Mom and Dad,
I wanted to tell you how much I love you, and show you. And I wanted to tell you what I wrote on my Jesus card. I put I will try to respect my parents, listen to my parents, and try to show my parents how much I love them. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
Kimball

It doesn't get more rewarding than that as a parent, and she has really lived up to her promise. She has been so helpful and respectful. My favorite Christmas gift this year!

We love you Kimball!!!

Yep. She is pretty amazing. And you're a pretty blessed mommy!
Can I just send mine over your way and they will turn out like that? You are a wonderful mom and she is a pretty great kid.
